On Tuesday, October 12, Microsoft is scheduled to release the patches for October. From the details provided on http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms10-oct.mspx it appears there will be a significant number of patches. According to Microsoft, there is scheduled to be 16 bulletins for 49 vulnerabilities that will be released on Tuesday.
