A HIGH vulnerability, CVE-2017-6074, that has existed in the Linux kernel since 2005 is about to have a proof-of-concept exploit released by a Google researcher. It is related to an esoteric network traffic control protocol on the application layer (DCCP) that some distros of LINUX default configured. Some distros have already responded in the last 24 hours with a patch package and some are recommending blacklisting the dccp module. Please review your Linux distro’s response to the vulnerability.
